Body Pouf Tutu

Did you know that you can make the cutest tutus for toddlers with a headband and some body poufs? I’ve been asked a couple times to share how it’s done so here it is:

1. Put your headband around something because it makes it easier to tie your strips of pouf to it.

2. Pull the string off of the pouf (or cut it but be careful not to cut the pouf). After the string comes off, you can stretch it out into one long piece.

3. Depending on the size of the child, cut a piece of the pouf. For my 3 year olds, I cut a length of about one yard. Take this piece and cut it in half width wise which will create 2 one yard pieces.

4. One piece at a time, tie your strip of pouf onto the headband (this is where is comes in handy to have the headband around something). Fold it in half and bring the strip under the headband, take the ends and bring them up through the loop and pull.

Continue these steps moving the knots close together to hide the headband. You can alternate colors, add glitter or gems to embellish- the possibilities are endless. Have fun!

I’ll post pictures of mine after I give them to the girls for Christmas!

How does a guy like that ever get so lucky to be holding a girl like her!? I love you Brooke Lavin, and can only pray for the rest of our lives to be this happy. No matter what comes our way, just as long as I have you, we can beat it!

….that’s how many frames I shot during the Las Vegas holiday sessions last week. Whew! In between all the session, we did have a chance to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and take the girls to several fun places in town. Here are a couple of shots that I found in between uploading some of the sessions.
