Bittersweet

Nanny and Poppy (aka, my mom and dad) left this morning to go back to Kentucky. The girls had a great time dressing up Poppy, jumping on him and combing Nanny’s hair. My mom is a crazy good cook so you know we ate good- too good. We played games, laughed and had a lot of fun. I wish my sister and her girls were here too, but maybe that’s something we can arrange next year!

It’s tough not having family in the same state but it teaches you to appreciate the moments that you are able to spend time together. When everyone lives near each other, it is very easy to not take the time to visit your mom, sister, brother, etc. I look forward to the next time that all my family can be together.

The treadmill and gym equipment have been neglected the last couple of weeks, school time at home was closed for vacation, sleeping in late, eating too many sweets ………….. now that my parents are gone, it is time to get back to reality!

I hope everyone had a great holiday and that you were lucky enough to spend it with some of your family members as well. Happy New Year to you all and I look forward to seeing what the year has in store for us. Good health and happiness to us all!

Fall

Yesterday it was 80. Today it’s 41!! Ugh!! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year but it goes by so darn fast. One minute the leaves are turning yellow, red and orange, and the next minute a good wind comes and all the leaves are blown on the ground and turn a beautiful shade of brown.

Boo-Hoo!

With Halloween right around the corner, that also means that my trip to Las Vegas will be here soon. It’s hard to believe that I will be shooting 2012 holiday sessions already. On the other hand, I am very excited to see everyone and I have no doubt that I will be welcoming the warmer weather!

If you haven’t reserved your spot yet, hurry and contact me. There are only a few spaces left!!

my loves

They may be twins but they are so very different. Londyn is daring while Brooklyn is cautious. Brooklyn is sweet and delicate  while Londyn is feisty and witty.  Both are so intelligent and love to learn.

You can never imagine how kids will change your life and how they have this special way of making you try to be the best person that you can be- you are who they are learning from so it only makes sense.  I feel like there is this timeline to prepare them for school and they are quickly approaching the finish line. One more year left and until that day comes, I will laugh, play and never forget this time with them.
