Coming back to Iowa the night before Easter created a little bit of chaos because even though I had already shopped for their baskets, I still needed to buy food for Easter dinner. The morning started with a trail of jelly beans that was left by the Easter bunny and lead to their baskets- this was very exciting to them. After getting dressed and eating breakfast, we all went outside and the girls ran around the yard collecting all the eggs. I’m not sure if they had more fun finding the eggs or if we had more fun watching them. I love creating these memories with my family!

The Vegas trip went great even though the weather was a bit cooler than I expected and a lot windier than I expected. Oh well, it’s always been one big windy dust bowl.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

I am no nature photographer. I don’t have a super telephoto lens. I don’t even have the patience to sit and watch for hours and hours. But I can appreciate the beauty nonetheless. Who knew that the bald eagles come to Iowa in the winter to nest and on top of that, there are about 20 of them just right down the street from my house. It was amazing to watch them!
