I am no nature photographer. I don’t have a super telephoto lens. I don’t even have the patience to sit and watch for hours and hours. But I can appreciate the beauty nonetheless. Who knew that the bald eagles come to Iowa in the winter to nest and on top of that, there are about 20 of them just right down the street from my house. It was amazing to watch them!

Sometimes, a great picture is right in front of you and those kinds of shots usually end up being my favorites. I take a picture everyday- whether it is with my iphone or my camera, there is a picture taken EVERYDAY. It’s what I love to do. Life goes by too quickly and to capture special moments to share forever, is the best thing we can do for those we leave behind.

My girls are going to have one heck of a library of photo books to go through.

This session was almost dream like- the outfits, the weather, the location…..just perfect. Everything just seemed like a little fairytale setting and it’s nice when things just workout like how you imagined them. Did you notice the hat? So cute!
